TONIGHT: Skies are clear and it’s cool and comfortable overnight. The low is 62 in Philadelphia. Some suburbs dip into the 50s.
TUESDAY: High pressure delivers another mostly sunny and pleasant afternoon. It won’t be as breezy. The high is 80.
WEDNESDAY: Sun gives way to increasing clouds during the day, but it’s still pleasant. A shower or thunderstorm is possible in spots, mainly at night. Our high inches up to 80.
THURSDAY: This is a transition day as our weather pattern shifts to one of building heat and humidity. Sun mixes with clouds. It’s very warm and more sticky. A couple showers and thunderstorms are possible, especially during the afternoon and evening. The high climbs to 87.
FRIDAY: Heat and humidity really build into the region as our high shifts over to the southeast and pumps in sultry air from the Gulf states. Look for hazy sunshine and a humid high of 92.
SATURDAY: It’s a mostly sunny, hot and humid start to the weekend. The high is 94 (heat Index around 100).
SUNDAY: This may be the worst day of this hot spell with hazy sunshine and steamy conditions. The high is 95, but the heat index will make it feel like between 100 and 105.
MONDAY: It’s still hot and humid with partly sunny skies, but our high eases downward a couple degrees to 94. An afternoon or evening thunderstorm is possible.
