BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) —
State Police are on scene of a crash involving several cars and an overturned tractor-trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bucks County.
It happened around 1 p.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes west of the Bensalem exit, Exit 351.
Action News is told the big rig was carrying steel coils when it collided with other vehicles and overturned.
There were no immediate reports of serious injuries.
All westbound lanes were shut down as crews worked to clear the debris and clean up a fuel spill that appears to have resulted from the crash.
The westbound lanes were expected to remain closed for several hours.
The PA Turnpike Authority issued a statement recommending the following alternate route:
Take U.S. Route 1 south to State Route 132 west to State Route 611 south. Reenter the PA Turnpike at the Willow Grove Interchange, Exit 343.
