CHERRY HILL, N.J. (WPVI) —
A pedestrian is dead after being struck by at least one vehicle on a well-traveled highway in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
The incident happened around 6 a.m. Thursday in the eastbound lanes of Route 38 near Longwood Avenue.
Action News is told that two vehicles were involved in the crash, that a pedestrian was struck and that that person did not survive.
Both drivers remained on the scene.
Other circumstances surrounding the incident, including the name of the victim, were not immediately disclosed.
All eastbound lanes of Route 38 remained shut down more than four hours after the crash as police continued their investigation.
One lane of traffic was getting by on the westbound side.
Motorists were being advised to seek alternate routes.
