PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) —
SEPTA has restored service to two of the three rail lines affected by an earlier accident.
Initially, SEPTA suspended service on three commuter lines – Lansdale/Doylestown, West Trenton and Warminster – Thursday afternoon following an incident at Fern Rock Transportation Center.
Police said someone someone was struck and killed by a commuter train around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Service on the Lansdale/Doylestown and West Trenton Regional Rail lines remained suspended north of the Fern Rock Center for approximately 2 hours; service to these two lines was restored around 5:10 p.m. Service on the Warminster line remains suspended. SEPTA said other rail lines might experience delays.
